How to play

Each board is filled with winding arrows. Tap an arrow and it slides off the board — but only when the path ahead of its head (the way the arrowhead points) is clear of other arrows. Clear every arrow to solve the level. There’s no clock, just you and the puzzle.

Solving, stars & hearts

How do I clear an arrow (the basic rule)?

Tap an arrow and it slides off the board — but only when the path ahead of its head (the way the arrowhead points) is clear of other arrows. If something is in the way, the arrow is blocked and won’t move until you free its path first. Clear every arrow to solve the level; look for arrows whose exit is already open, and work from there.

What do the stars mean, and how do I get 3 stars?

You can earn up to 3 stars on every level. To get all 3, solve the level with a perfect run — no wasted taps. A wasted tap is tapping an arrow that is currently blocked and can’t move. Plan the order in which arrows can slide free, tap only arrows with a clear path, and you’ll earn the full three.

What are the hearts (lives) for, and what if I run out?

You start each level with hearts, and each wasted tap (tapping a blocked arrow) costs one heart. If you run out, the level ends — but you can continue by watching a rewarded ad, or simply restart and try again. Perfect play never loses a heart.

I’m stuck. Can I get a hint?

Yes. A hint reveals which arrow to tap next; watch a short rewarded ad to get one. Hints are always optional — use them only when you’d like a nudge.

Can I restart or replay a level?

You can restart the current level by watching a rewarded ad for a fresh start. You can also replay any completed level to beat your best (watch a rewarded ad for 1 life), and you can still earn 3 stars on a replay.

Progress & devices

I left the app mid-level — did I lose my progress?

No. When you reopen Arrows Out, the Home screen offers a Resume button that picks up exactly where you left off.

My progress disappeared, or I reinstalled and lost my levels

Your progress is saved on your device and — if you sign in — also to Apple Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android). To restore after reinstalling or on a new phone, make sure you’re signed in to the same Game Center or Play Games account you used before, then reopen Arrows Out so your cloud save can restore.

If you played without signing in, progress was stored only on that device and is removed when the app is deleted. Signing in going forward keeps a cloud copy so this doesn’t happen again. No account, name, or email is ever required to play — sign-in is only for cloud save. If progress still doesn’t return, email us and we’ll help.

How do I sync progress across devices?

Sign in to the same Apple Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android) account on each device. Your level, stars, streak, and settings are saved to your own cloud account for that service, so they sync and restore automatically when you open the app.

How do I reset my progress?

Open the app’s Settings and choose the reset-progress option. This clears your saved progress and can’t be undone, so use it only if you want a fresh start. The Settings dialog also offers Share, Rate us, and (on Android) a check for updates.

Ads

Why does the game show ads?

Arrows Out is free, and ads (served through Google AdMob) keep it that way. Rewarded ads are always optional — they only play when you choose to get a hint, restart, continue, or replay for a life. You may also see an occasional interstitial ad between levels.

Can I pay to remove ads?

There is currently no in-app purchase to remove ads. If that changes, we’ll announce it in an update. Thanks for supporting the game by watching the occasional ad — it genuinely helps us keep making puzzles.

Daily Challenge & notifications

What is the Daily Challenge, and how do streaks work?

The Daily Challenge is a fresh puzzle available every day. Play on consecutive days to build a streak — miss a day and the streak resets, so try to check in daily. Turning on the optional daily reminder (see below) can help you keep it going.

How do I turn notifications on or off?

Push notifications (such as a daily-challenge reminder) are optional. You can turn them off or on anytime in your device’s notification settings for Arrows Out:

Changes take effect right away — no need to reinstall.

Other

Which devices does Arrows Out support? Can I play offline?

Arrows Out runs on iOS 15 or later and on Android. It’s fully playable offline, with no sign-up. You’ll need a connection only for ads and for cloud sync.

Where are Share, Rate us, and app updates?

Open the app’s Settings dialog, which offers Share and Rate us. On Android, Settings can also check for updates.

Report a bug or request a feature

Found something that doesn’t look right, or have an idea to make the game better? We’d love to hear it. Email smartmobappstudio@gmail.com with a short description. For bugs, please include your device model, OS version, and the level or screen where it happened — screenshots help a lot. The more detail, the faster we can help.

Data & privacy

We keep things private by design: no account is required, and Arrows Out never needs your name or email. Progress is saved on your device and, if you sign in, to your own Game Center or Play Games account. Ads are served through Google AdMob. For full details on what limited data is collected and how it’s used, see our Privacy Policy.
